Saltwater Estate – Point Cook

GR Design & Construct in collation with Tract Consultants, Paul Trotter & Associates design, fabrication and installation of the 2 X SHELTERS & 6 X BOARDWALKS at Saltwater Estate, Point Cook.

This project was completed during the very wet recent months and provided GRDC with another challenging site. Nevertheless the project was completed efficiently and a high quality finish resulted, mainly due to our fabrication facilities and project management teams being Victorian based.

The structures comprised predominately of low level hardwood boardwalks and viewing platforms in a range of sizes and shapes atop hardwood driven piles. Steel staunchions and kiln dried dressed hardwood, together with stainless steel wire and turnbuckles provided an aesthetically pleasing and transparent balustrade system.

GRDC was also responsible for constructing the road side balustrading and custom steel shelters that added another dynamic to the open space. The custom shelters used a variety of materials and finishes including powdercoating, perforated steel sheet, timber & Colorbond roofing.
